Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best trampoline brand?

The best brand offers a combination of safety, durable materials, stable construction, and good warranties. Key factors include steel thickness, quality of the safety pad, type of springs, and place of production. Brands that produce in Europe with high-quality materials usually stand out in finish and longevity. The choice ultimately depends on usage intensity and budget.

Which type of trampoline is best?

We define three types of trampolines: above-ground, inground, and flat.

  • Above-ground trampolines are generally considered the safest and offer practical benefits: no digging needed, flexible, easy to move, and a quality safety net can prevent falls.
  • Inground trampolines are partially sunk into the ground, look discreet in the garden, and are easily accessible for children.
  • Flat trampolines sit flush with the ground and are very aesthetic.

Which type suits your situation best depends on usage, desired location, and preferences for appearance and safety.

Note: an inground or flat trampoline cannot be installed everywhere. When in doubt, consult one of our specialists.

How much does a good trampoline cost?

The price depends on size, quality, type, and accessories.

  • Entry-level: €200–500 – usually above-ground trampolines with basic features.
  • Mid-range: €500–1,200 – better frame quality, thicker safety pad, longer springs.
  • Premium & semi-professional: €1,200–3,000+ – thick-walled steel, high-quality jumping mats, extra padding, longer warranties.

Higher-end trampolines stand out for thicker steel, better bounce, longer warranties, and much greater durability. For intensive use, investing in a premium model is usually the best choice.

Why choose an Etan Premium trampoline?

An Etan Premium trampoline gives fun, quality, durability, and looks great too! Not just for a few years – these trampolines are made to provide years of enjoyment. They are produced in Europe, feature strong safety pads, durable jumping mats, and unique safety solutions.

What’s the best trampoline safety pad?

The best pad combines safety, durability, and looks. A good pad protects jumpers from the frame and springs, stays looking good for years, and visually matches the trampoline and garden.

Etan uses 30 mm closed-cell foam as impact protection. This foam doesn’t absorb water, keeps its bounce, and gives optimal protection. The foam is wrapped in thick German PVC, which is UV-resistant, weatherproof, and highly durable. This makes the pad safe, long-lasting, and stylish.

What is the best trampoline jumping mat?

The best trampoline mat is safe, sturdy, and lets air through easily. But what should you actually look for?

1. What makes a trampoline mat safe?

A good mat has an overlay: an extra strip of Permatron over the springs. This reduces the chance of kids getting their hands, arms, or legs stuck between the springs.

2. Why is airflow important?

The better air can escape through the mat, the easier it is to bounce. A mat with a coarser mesh lets more air through, giving smoother jumps and less wind resistance.

3. What’s the difference in durability between mats?

The weak spots are usually:

The triangles: On many trampolines, these are metal parts that can rust or even break over time. Not great if you want to avoid surprise landings.

The mat material: Permatron is standard, but quality varies. It comes in different thicknesses and colors. The stronger the Permatron, the longer it lasts.

4. What are the best triangles for a trampoline mat?

Triangles that can’t rust or break. At Etan, we use HDPE triangles from the Etan Diamond System, which don’t corrode and give the best force distribution while jumping. Years of hassle-free fun!

5. What is the best trampoline mat?

The best mat is made from high-quality Permatron, has a safe overlay, is well-ventilated, and comes with durable, rust-free triangles like in the Etan Diamond System.
